Tie Guan Yin Oolong Tee ist einer der am meisten geschätzten und begehrten Tees in China. Er wird von alten Bäumen hergestellt und wächst ganz natürlich (ohne Pestizide oder chemische Düngemittel) in der Umgebung von Yao Yang, Xiping, Anxi.

Diese Version des Tie Guan Yin ist einzigartig. Als er geerntet wurde, wurden die Blätter und die Knospe am Stiel belassen! Er kommt mit vielen großen Stielen! Das gibt dem Tee einen stärkeren Duft und er schmeckt voller. Die charakteristischen floralen, honigähnlichen Noten im Aroma und dem Geschmack sind beträchtlich und bauen sich elegant, wie ein feines Parfüm, auf. [EN] Too much stem, and not enough leaf for me. By the second brew I had lost interest. My other tea at the moment is some Grade 1 beauty, and maybe that's influenced my opinion of this one. Looks interesting with all the stems prior to serving.

[EN] I love the floral quality of this tea. It has a nice fruitiness too vs. a vegetal component that some versions have. I like those too but this one really is special as the name states. It's my favorite Tie Guan Yin but I only gave it four stars because I still feel like a novice so I'm sure there is a Tie Guan Yin that is even better than this somewhere. At least I hope that is true. I enjoy the hunt. What can I say? I haven't been drinking tea of this quality long enough to pronounce any tea as 5*s tbh.
