Panda Ancient Tree Pu-erh 200g

Panda Ancient Tree Green Pu’erh is a traditional raw (sheng 生茶) tea cake made of large leaf pickings from ancient tea trees (that are over 100 years old) in hot and humid Yunnan province. This tea cake is an ideal beginner raw pu’erh, as it is traditional and sun-dried. It was pressed not by machine but by a millstone, which allows for air to circulate and flow throughout the brick, encouraging maturity in flavor and ease of use.

When initially steeped, the tea has a grassy, flowery and woodsy aroma, which quickly fades into a smoky floral, rich scent. Panda Ancient Tree Pu’erh has a flavor that is vibrant, slightly smoky, as well as grassy with a touch of astringency, and finishes with a strong chaqi.

For the best tea-drinking experience, we recommend using a gaiwan and enjoying multiple infusions. If stored properly, this will age beautifully; maturity will only bring out the smooth character even more.
