Description

Our Anji White Tea (安吉白) is grown in the misty mountainous region of Anji county in China’s eastern coastal Zhejiang Province. This fine tea cultivar has a short harvest season, making this tea especially unique and rare, and it is rarely sold or enjoyed outside of China, it is an exceptional tea that we are proud to offer!

The long, slender, delicate, leaves are green with pale yellow with a highly fragrant aroma. Given its process of manufacture, interestingly it is in fact, a green tea despite the name "white", which is given due to its delicate, tippy appearance.

Once steeped, this slender leaf releases a light green liquor, at first sip you’ll enjoy a silky smooth mouthfeel which is coined “liquid silk”, and a delicious umami-rich taste.

I never was a fan of white teas but this one is great. Light on its feet and just oozes pedigree and exclusiveness like a fine wine. I liked three grams at 3 mins. in a 6 oz. cup and it took every degree of that 190 degrees which always seems high for a green tea. I wish Tealyra would use gram measurements instead of spoon fulls. Every fine tea drinker should have a gram scale...........-d-

[FR] Un thé d’un goût unique. Doux au palais, je l’infuse assez longtemps afin qu’il dégage ses arômes. Complémentèrent différent des autres thés blancs. Retenez qu’il s’agit d’un thé vert. Un délice!

Delicious, smooth "light" green tea with no bitter aftertaste. Lovely umami flavour.

Amazing tea!!! Beautiful light amber color. The whole leaves are rolled like ancient pergament scrolls. The smell is extremely exquisite.
